State Representative Ben Bumgarner represents House District 63, succeeding now State Senator Tan Parker. House District 63 covers southern Denton County including Flower Mound, Lewisville, Carrollton, Coppell, Trophy Club, Northlake and Roanoke. Ben serves on the Defense & Veterans' Affairs and the International Relations & Economic Development Committees. Ben is a family man, small businessman and gun manufacturer who is fighting to make Denton County the best place to work and raise a family.
In his first term, Ben passed legislation to cut wasteful spending, shrink the size of government, protect Texas veterans, and combat human trafficking. Ben was a co-sponsor of key legislation to provide the largest property tax cut in Texas history, a landmark bill to remove sexually explicit materials from Texas schools, a ban on childhood gender modification, protecting women's sports, and adding billions to our state efforts to build the wall and secure the border.
